Sonder Court Square Apartments Long Island City

This is a perfect place to stay if you’re looking for more space than you can traditionally find in NYC. We just wrapped up a family vacation and all 5 of us fit comfortably in the apartment. The couch bed wasn’t the most comfortable for adults but the kids slept great on it! We loved having a kitchen and the Trader Joe’s across the street was an added bonus. As other reviews have said…you can hear some street noise so if you’re a light sleeper then be sure to use a sound machine or grab some complimentary ear plugs. The subway was very easy to access and located right across the street. The area felt very safe for families with kids! Be sure to visit the state park down the street (great views of the city!) and the Court Square Diner (friendly staff and great service). Thank you to the staff at Sonder for caring for our family so well during our stay! We’ll be back!

I had a fantastic 4-night stay here. The room itself was spacious, well-stocked (kitchen, towels, coffee bar, etc.), and clean. The building was clean, quite, and safe and I really enjoyed the digital access to all of the doors...it's nice not to have to think about keys or a room card. Lastly, the location is fantastic -- right across the street from the 7 and easy walking distance to the G, E, and M. There is a Trader Joes down the street and a Target as well. I'd recommend this property for long and short-stays alike.

A wonderful experience overall. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to the subway, making it a great base for exploring Manhattan which is just one stop away. The apartment itself was spotless and had everything we needed, including a kettle, a nice touch that isn’t always standard in the US! The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep and the price was very reasonable for the quality and location. The staff were also fantastic – friendly, helpful, and always on hand to assist with any questions. The only downside was the noise from the nearby train station. It’s quite loud, so if you’re a light sleeper, this might be something to consider. However, the convenience and quality of the accommodation outweighed this for us. I’d definitely recommend Sonder, Court Square, to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and reasonably priced place to stay in NYC!

Very good hotel that is seamless. Despite it being fairly digital with your checkin and keypad to your room/suite there is generally also someone around to help you. The rooms are fully stocked so that you can live like a New Yorker and enjoy more than just a room. The location is great and you can reach Brooklyn, Manhattan or further into queens in under 30 minutes. The rooms are also sound proofed so despite the warnings for potential noise we didn't hear anything.

We stayed for a week the positives were: 1. Location: Subway 2. Location: Canal street diner, trader joes, Dutch kills cocktails 3. Location: Walk to the hudson for amazing sunset Geraldine in reception was very friendly and supported any question we had and give great advice on local things to do. We were a family of 5 (2Adults, 3 mid/late teens) and the 2 bed work out very well for the week, far better than a hotel in Manhattan. Negatives: It lost a star for the Noise from roof-top bar was loud on Saturday night, but I would take the bit of noise any day for the amazing views for Manhattan. Earplugs were provided by Sonder. Overall , it was excellent and I will be back. I would recommend to any large family going to NYC,

Good stay in Sonder LIC, however I do think that it is quite expensive for the relatively simple apartment. I would suggest to add minor things like more overhead lights, hooks and racks in the bathroom, clothes racks, among others, to make a long-term stay more homey. The location is very good as it is in front of Court Square Station (with several lines going into Manhattan and Queens) and a very busy Trader Joe’s. There is no in-house laundry so folks staying for a while would have to look for another place to do their washing. As the other reviews say, it can also be quite loud depending on where your room is located. I had some issues with the construction along Jackson Ave., the train, and the music from the bars that Sonder shares the building with. But they do provide earplugs so that was quite helpful. The staff is also nice and friendly. Overall, I am happy with my stay and I would come back because of its excellent location.

As a first time visitor of NY, this was the best location to stay at because of its central location to each area. You can get right on the subway and travel in almost any direction. Manhattan, WTC memorial, Forest Hills, it's all about 20-25 min away from here. The staff was awesome and on site most of the day. It made the whole trip very easy, so I won't stay anywhere else but here!

I stayed at the sonders with my family. We were happy to stay here. Excellent service and the rooms were great! There's a kitchen and supplies are downstairs if you want to refill on coffee, soap , paper towels and more. Location was superb. Across street from subway station. Took us 15 mins to get to midtown Manhattan. Amazing view from the room I was staying in and great staff!
